Catching the Ferragamo train

30 January, 2012

I am delighted to present you the first ever pre-fall collection of Salvatore Ferragamo, whose inspiration came from a train journey, a very chic one I suppose, which doesn't happen very often in our normal mortal life, but who are we to judge when the outcome of a brilliant mind is such a refined, mouthwatering collection?!
I was completely blown away by the pattern mixtures, the fluid textures combined with those leather and metallic accessories and classy wide brimmed hats.
Those luxurious vintage-look bags are to die for, as well as  the textured, suede, woolly & furry  coats, with exquisite cuts and details.
That particular reptile skin pleated skirt from the second picture is probably my favourite piece from the line, for it has a slight sensuality disguised in a school-girly, apparently conservative design.
All these outfits look so comfy yet seductive and classy, and the shoes are a brilliant touch to the very vintage, lady-like, "bon voyage" over-all theme.
Such an inspiring collection!
