Although we are still enjying summer's easy breezy sartorial rules, with just enough time to prepare for the official Fall/Winter season, we still have to keep up with the always forward-thinking industry of fashion. Therefore here are the latest high-fashion fall/winter 15/16 ad campaigns freshly released by the likes of Prada, Givenchy, Stella McCartney or Marc Jacobs to name a few. Discover my favourites below.
1. Givenchy F/W 15/16 Ad Campaign by Mert & Marcus
I have to say Givenchy's latest creative direction has taken a darker and darker turn, portraying a lot of mystery, seduction and danger. Riccardo Tisci's vision of the ideal woman today is elegant yet seductively masculine. Exquisite if you ask me. And check out those face jewellery pieces!
What is Donatella doing here you may ask? Maybe showcasing the Italian dynasty taking over the fashion world, or simply the genuine friendship and support between designers. Or maybe just a publicity stunt. Either way, I am loving it!
Stars: Donatella Versace, Candice Swanepoel, Greta Varlese, Isis Bataglia, Frankie Rayder,Stella Lucia, Mariacarla Boscono & Victor Cruz for G.
Styled by Carine Roitfeld.
Hair by Sam McKnight.
Make-up by Lucia Pieroni
2. Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2015/2016 Ad Campaign by Bruce Weber & Juergen Teller
Blending models with celebrities or even with non-fashion-related individuals has been a trend lately within the creative fashion world. Louis Vuitton is also building their own tribe by casting famous actress Jennifer Connelly to perfectly portray the modern, seductive and rejuvenated Vuitton woman.
Stars: Liya Kebede, Freja Beha Erichsen, Jennifer Connelly, Rianne van Rompaey, Julia Merkelbach, Alicia Vikander, Fernanda Ly, Angel Rutledge
Styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve.
3. Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Ad Campaign by David Sims
Well this is a personal favourite of mine for the obvious reason: Anthony Kiedis aka Red Hot Chilli Peppers front man. This band has played in my ears/speaker/head throughout my teenagehood unceasingly and it will forever reign supreme in my heart. When Marc Jacobs decides to cast such a powerful crew for his latest ad campaign ( anyone spotting CHER ?! ) it surely cannot stay unnoticed. Is this the end of the traditional model era? I am not entitled to decide that, but I have to say, I really love this whole fashion & entertainment movement going on lately.
Stars: Winona Ryder, Riley Montana, Julia Nobis, Cher, Aamito Lagum, Issa Lish, Cierra Skye, Grace Simmons, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Sofia Coppola, Molly Bair, Sally Jonsson, Varya Shutova, Anthony Kiedis, Willow Smith, Debi Mazar, Steve Mackey & Marley Mackey for . Styled by Katie Grand.
4. La Perla F/W 15/16 Ad Campaign by Mert & Marcus starring Naomi Campbell
Topping the list of my personal favourite lingerie brands, La Perla gives us a whole lot of Naomi in their latest fall/winter campaign. And we can't complain, can we? Simply stunning and ageless !
5. Stella McCartney F/W 15/16 Campaign by Harley Weir starring Natalia vodianova
Dreamy, serene, surrealistic - Stella knows best.
6. Prada Fall/Winter 2015/2016 Ad Campaign by Steven Meisel
Here we go back to a model-studded campaign. One that definitely speaks to my taste. Prada is surely my soft spot when it comes to fashion and this time around they still haven't disappointed me. See the video of the campaign HERE.
7. Versace Fall/Winter 2015/2016 Ad Campaign by Mert & Marcus
Last but not least, Versace brings their strong game to the fashion field with their fierce, bold and powerful campaign starring the one and only Karlie Kloss. The model has surely been the brand's muse lately, sporting the ultimate Versace sex-symbol status. Haven't you seen her busting them moves while wearing a Versace cut-out white jumpsuit in Nile Roger's I'll Be There video? Watch it HERE then.
