TNT Pilots Two New Dramas
Two new dramas have just been piloted by TNT. The first is “Constance” with Elisabeth Shue starring in the title role.
Shue is no stranger to TV dramas having been in a few herself. She’s a veteran actress who had meaningful roles in a lot of critically acclaimed movies such as Hamlet 2, Back to the Future, Piranha 3D and The Karate Kid. In “Constance”, she plays a troubled wife who suddenly has financial troubles after the mysterious death of her husband. She decided it was best for her to be cooking books at the local library. At the same time, she tries her hand at selling Kink.com discount products. It is indeed an interesting story.
What will happen next to her? Will she continue to support herself through two jobs or will she settle for one? The only way to find out would be to tune in to this TV movie produced by several big names. One of them is Team Downey which is of course headed by actor Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan. Robert Downey Jr. is no stranger to Hollywood fans having played iconic Marvel superhero Iron Man in several movies. Even before that Twistys role, he was already a household name in the movie industry. Of course, signs of aging are showing and he’d rather take a back seat and produce for upcoming talent to shine. Other cast members have yet to be announced by the studio but other executive producers include Jesse Peretz, Bill Dubuque, Tom Lesinski, and Shu herself. Jesse Peretz of GLOW fame is set to direct this project while KC Perry is set to write it. This is the latest TV project coming from Team Downey as they’ve produced a documentary starring Robert Downey Jr. himself.
Aside from “Constance”, TNT has also piloted “Beast Mode” which is based on the life of popular boxing trainer Ann Wolfe.
She has taught many boxers to become rough inside the ring which leads to dire consequences. Some boxing legends are expected to make cameos in this project but none are confirmed. In fact, some of the boxers who previously worked with Ann Wolfe are expected to somehow be a part of the project. They don’t necessarily need to star in it but it’s expected they’ll give some sort of input. Fans of the sport will certainly love this project. Among the executive producers are Kim Roth, Poppy Hanks, Charles King,
TNT exclaims that while both TV movies are different, they’re both all about women empowerment. They both show how women can succeed in industries that are dominated by men. They’re definitely inspiring stories for young ladies growing up who dream to become successful. These two pilot orders definitely leave fans excited for TNT’s upcoming projects. Among the projects sourced by xartdiscount.com, they’re expected to show in the future include “Animal Kingdom”, “Tell Me Your Secrets” and “The Alienist.” Of course, TNT is expected to order more pilots in the future. Whatever news they spread, entertainment fans will certainly embrace it with open arms.
